(1) I got a good feeling that Huawei Hongmeng will cut a pie out for itself - especially in the China market.
(2) Reason being, the China has a huge domestic market of 1.4 billion people.
(3) Hongmeng is only an OS - and what it needs is for China software eco-system to support Huawei Hongmeng instead of Google Android.
(4) Currently, China software eco-system is already entrenched in China - such as wechat, weibo, baidu, alipay from alibaba, tencent etc.
(5) China don't use facebook, google, youtube, gmail etc - except they use Android as their mobile os.
(6) If all China phone makers start to use Hongmeng instead of Android - when Hongmeng is able to run wechat, weibo, baidu, alipay etc ---- then Huawei Hongmeng will be able to secure a customer base of 1.4 billion in the China market --- and Google Android will lose 1.4 billion consumers - the whole of China's market.

(1) So Trump and Trump administration - by strangling Huawei by depriving Huawei from Android and chips --- actually backfire - as Huawei Hongmeng and HiSilicon chips - will replace all US software, OS and chips ---- by grooming a "tiger" and awake from its slumber.

Danny Lum how did you come up with this? Did you google dumbest comment ever. I love people brag about stuff that don't even exist. This is going to replace apple the only trillion dollar smart phone company. Even Huawei knows there dumbmeng os is crap or they would have put it out already.

Even in Singapore taxi, commuters can use alipay to scan QR code to pay their cab fare.

Albert Kwek It's understandable that all phones' shapes look similar now, but you can bet this Hongmeng is going to look similar to iOS or Android. It's going to be joke that Huawei will have to imitate even software. You can take back your "0.1% talented Chinese" words. China is not as talented as you've boasted.
