(1) The problem is up to now - since Trump's Presidency --- no US deal with other Countries has ever been concluded --- not even the 1st negotiated deal - NAFTA between US - Canada and Mexico --- because Trump keep breaking the deal by threatening tariff with his whim and fancy.
(2) The record is - Trump has broken all previously US signed negotiated deal ---- eg. Paris Climate Deal, TPP, Iran nuclear deal etc ---- and should be confer the most prolific "Deal Breaker" --- not a "deal maker".
(3) How to trust Trump in Inter-State Affairs?
(4) Simply put - Trump has achieve "Nothing" since his Presidency up to now.
But Trump is a champion in breaking many international deals - this is his greatest achievement.

USA is pointing a gun at China at the negotiating table , accept my terms or else I will raise tariff. There are other markets in this world. Focus on the belt n road n build up the markets.

In a typical high level corporate setting, it's always the minions that do all the talking before an important meeting. The interesting thing here is that President Trump kept talking about wanting to meet.
One can't help but have an impression that it's President Trump who's desperate for a meeting since he's constantly talking about it whereas President Xi is like a poker player who keeps mum and doesn't reveal anything.
