I think we are eagerly looking forward to working with Anwar in a bilateral relationship.

Singapore and Malaysia are close neighbor and can be a great neighbor - if both see an eyes on the following principle :-

"Be Friends with All.
Adversaries with None.
Forge mutual benefits with Win-Win outcome."

Pls also remind pinky & his sinophobe dark force. China is for sure a global hyperpower in 10yrs, don't need to hyper antagonize for US-India shitholes sake.

What you say will means we need to be ready for WW3 in no time.

Your comments are lopsided and grossly bias.

Even the China Government will drop your ideas into the shithole.

Finally, Mr. Anwar has spoken and timely set the tone of how bilateral relationship would be like when he takes over as PM. It is better for that old man now not to mess up the future.

He should not speak too much until he is the PM.

Mr Anwar, at least you talk more logic and sense with positive attitude & good intention to establish mutual respect and understanding between S'pore and M'sia unlike the vintage Old M who just continue to threaten S'pore's survival with those unnecessary issues upon his return as PM and he even tried to inject his "Dirty DNA" to you earlier i.e. "with regards to S'pore, no change in strategy".
Hope to see you taking over the PM post soonest possible and establish a "forward looking team" together with your wife and daughter to work and prosper together with S'pore.
In actual fact. the vintage PM at 94 (if he is gentleman enough ?) should not drag any further and pass the PM baton to you now otherwise who knows ?

Anwar is a well known commodity to a wide swath of Singaporean leaders, both the formal and informal ones. Keeping to long established traditions Singapore would hew close to rule of law and Malaysians would play on building up trust in their mutual relations.

Anyway, his eventual coming to the helm will only serve to bring both the countries even closer. Still, what remains moot is will the prospective closeness, when it ensues, translate into greater opportunities for the man-in-the-street in either countries OR will it merely result in political rub-a-dub and mutual scratching for the elites alone ? ?

This is a damage control speech, still Singapore cannot afford to loose guard. Of cause is still a much welcome gesture. Now is just talk only, we can only see the real test when both countries meet in the next bilateral issue ...
