The real facts why there are a 2 million drop of Singaporeans visiting Malaysia -- is because many Singaporeans are piss off with Mahathir keep picking fight with Singapore on many issues.

There is no reason to boost the economy of malaysia - when Mahathir keep finding fault with Singaporeans.

Many Singaporeans rather spend and stay at home than visiting Malaysia.

Tourism ministry was targeting 28.1 million tourist arrivals and RM92.2 (US$23 billion) billion in tourist receipts this year.
--
Singapore contribute S$16.6 billion (or US$12.3 billion) - about half of Malaysia tourism receipt with 10 million visit.

A sharp drop in Singaporean visit - will cut Malaysia tourism receipt drastically.

No reason why we want to help Mahathir - when he is giving us alot of problem.

Singaporeans can do their bit - along nationalistic line.

That is, stop visiting Malaysia and spend our money in Singapore - to make the retail and F&B in Singapore more vibrant.

As long as this old man is around causing trouble for us --- Singaporeans should not make his life easier by spending hard earned money to contribute to their Economy.

Currently, the Singapore factor is worth at least RM50 billion (S$16.6 billion) a year to the Johor economy, state executive councillor for tourism and domestic trade, Datuk Tee Siew Keong, told Malay Mail Online.

"An average of 16 million tourists a year from Singapore visit Malaysia and a vast majority enter the country via Johor Baru. It is their first stop and assuming they spend a night or two here before moving to other places, the money they spend is substantial," Datuk Tee was quoted as saying.
--

Singaporeans should do our bit to stop visiting Johore and Malaysia - until we are convince that they stop creating trouble for us.

We should spend our (S$16.6 billion) a year in Singapore - and create more jobs in Singapore rather than contributing it to Malaysia.

Eversince Mahathir become prime minister ---- Singaporean tourist to Malaysia drop from 16 million visitors to 12 million visitors and now to 10 million visitors.

Let us target to drop further to 8 million visitors - as long as Mahathir continue to give us problem.

If Singapore tourist going through the Causeway has drop from 16 million to 12 million and now to 10 million ---- how can the Causeway be more congested?

Also there is no need and no incentive to build a 3rd bridge --- as Singaporeans are not encouraged by Mahathir who constantly picking something to fight with Singapore and Singaporeans.

Singaporeans should attempt to reduce their visit by another 2 million - from 10 million to 8 million - stay more at home and spend more at home - to contribute more to our own domestic economy than mahathir's economy.

Singaporeans should send the signal - that we are pissed off with mahathir.

Your "CIQ officer " must work faster, cut out handphone usage, stop smoking, and most importantly rubber stamp passport faster.. .....; Is a joke seeing them stamping the passport at "Snail speed"

Causeway link was disruption for a second round. Problem will b there for many more years to come as MY quote HSR is not needed after into power & RTS delay after delay.
While both sides r trying hard smooth the impossible.
Consider tax private car that is under utilize his/her passenger seats! In exchange, give back to private vehicle that has maximize used of his/her passenger seats.

Some immigration officers in Malaysia are not doing their jobs well because the passport page can have stamp 3 departure 3 arrival but some times 2 departure 2 arrival what a waste

Causeway jam did not start yesterday, it has been for years nows. People travel less to Malaysia, the reason is known. If M step down you will see huge jump again for people to travel there again.

Everything slow including garmen project. A 150 sqf toilet takes 18 months to complete and another 2 months to get water ... so the delay means more money pump for cronies.. but when makan wang time.. very fast....many u turns...empty promises. Useless bunch.

Now you know why MY, not SG, want a 3rd Bridge. 3rd Bridge will bring more tourists there, benefiting them more than us.

Mahdey wants our help building the 3rd Bridge, but at the same time pisses us off over johore water half-truths and maritime disputes, etc. So, given Mahdey's bipolar syndrome over Sg, how to help them with this new bridge?

Then, true enuff, even our well-founded reluctance on this project, is now becoming a major complaint point against us by Mahdey. Siao.

For 50 years, the causeway jam never improves. Either booth not fully use, quoted not enough manpower or other reasons. Why not a third link to improve the situation? Top person in charge in both side must seriously sit down to discuss the free flow from both sides. Not for political reasons I hope.

More links dont improve the situation. Manpower is the problem to mind the counters. Staff shortage everyday.

Too few Immigration booths are open daily at JB and that is the cause of the daily jam.
