- Without declaring Emergency Order - well meaning dialogue is not going to resolve HK problem as HK protestors will view the HK government as weak and will use violent means to get what they want - instead of looking at compromise and consensus.
A Government must negotiate from a position of strength and not from the position of weakness.

- Pro-democracy people are irrelevant vestiges in modern HK. I suggest they band together and ask the British PM to grant them one of the islands in Great Britain to build their own democratic nation and future. After all, it was the British who had brought this fate upon them after the Opium War so the British must bear this responsibility to relocate them.
