Nature will take its course. Rioters causes so much problem where transportation breakdown and people livelihood are affected.

The government should consider the calculation of all the damages, cleanup cost, manpower deployed etc. etc. and imposed fine amongst these rioters/protesters/instigators/mastermind etc. to recover some costs. - 7 hours ago
After 1-Oct-2019, the HK police & security forces should do what they have been trained to do, and what Western security forces would do to put down violent rioters, arsonist, vandalism, hooliganism, etc to maintain law & order by changing their rubber bullets to real bullets and flame throwers for pepper spray.

@William Well said. They should conduct thorough investigations on protester violence, and where they got their funds and weapons............
- kill policeman in the coming 1 Oct protest
- instigate some HK protestors to dress up like policeman and kill innocent people - and blame it on the HK police
- put up instructions to make dangerous weapon like making petrol bomb etc.
(2) HK Police say that the protest has now descended into a more dangerous movement - that fringe on "Terrorism" come 1 Oct.
"All acts are one step closer to terrorism."
(2) Declaring Emergency Order - to nip the bud of the Protest Movement - by disallowing Protestors to even hit the street, to disable all communication channels to organise protest, to arrest without trial - dissenters, protestors, people who carry placards to incite violence, people who carry weapons, banned all form of protest, rally, movement (whether peaceful or violent) --- will have prevented such total chaos.
(3) Appeasement will not stop the violent protest --- when temper and temperatures are at such a high level.
(4) Only a curfew - to prevent HK protestors to hit the street - is the only way to cool temper and temperature down.
(5) Only when temper and temperature are lowered - will meaningful dialogue to be carried out - so that compromise, consensus and pragmatic solutions can be worked out - under the constraint of the HK Government and the OB marker laid down by the China Government.
(6) To ensure an effective Emergency Order - maximum Police presence must be mobilised.
Paramilitary assets such as Armour Personnel Carrier (armour that can withstand damage and destruction by physical force, able to quickly douse of fire by fire extinguisher when attack by petrol bomb, able to bash through road obstacles with ease and can quickly and safely transport and deploy paramilitary and police troops - deep into protestors enclave to allow quick arrest, and to guard and lockdown main roads, government buildings, installation etc).
(Note :- Soft-skin police bus, vehicles can be easily attacked, puncture tyre, break glass, catch fire easily - unlike armor personnel carrier).
(7) Only declaration of Emergency Order - can effectively quell the 4 month unrest - before meaningful dialogue can take place and meaningful policies put in place to mend grievances.
(8) With temper flaring and temperatures hitting the roof ---- no appeasement can quell the violence --- in fact appeasement will further stoke more violent actions --- as the protestors will view appeasement as Government weakness and will embolden protestors to escalate violent to get what they want.
