REACH - charging plastic bags for supermarket - may cause Country-wide hygiene problem

(1) When plastic bags are charged, people will stop using plastic bags to wrap their liquid waste and solid waste - and will instead throw their liquid waste and solid waste down the rubbish chute.

(2) This will cause a big hygiene problem nationwide.
- Liquid waste when thrown down the rubbish chute without the plastic bags - will cause unbearable stench emerging from the rubbish chute.

- Cockroaches, rats, ants etc will infest the rubbish chute causing big hygiene problem.

- Observe that in one chute where 1 or 2 household throw their liquid waste down the rubbish chute - unbearable smell emerge from the rubbish chute.

- Town council cleaners got to spray the whole rubbish chute with water - and despite doing so, the smell still linger.

- Also notice that the water in the rubbish chute - will cause problem of mosquitoes laying eggs inside the rubbish chute - causing dengue fever.

- Thus without "proper thought through" and mindlessly increase the price of the plastic bags --- it may introduce a Country-wide hygiene problem :-
(a). where rodents, cockroaches etc may trigger infectious diseases and even health epidemic - if many households start throwing liquid waste and solid waste down their rubbish chutes without bagging them in plastic bag.

(b) strong stench and terrible smell will cause those household staying at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th floor - to suffer from having to tolerate unbearable smell, as well as residents that walk past the 4 rubbish chutes in each HDB block.

(c) Town council cleaners will need to incur longer cleaning time per each housing block - and could translate into higher town council charges on residents.

(d) Cleaners will have to spray water to each rubbish chutes more often ---- that can cause mosquitoes to breed as more breeding ground arise in the rubbish chute - and may cause dengue fever to spike.

(e) Pest control companies will have to spray insecticide more often per each HDB block - polluting the air more frequently and increasing the pest control cost --- and again impose higher cost to residents.

(3) To conclude, those people who champion the charging of prices to plastic bags --- will eventually have to bear the responsibilities if hygiene and health problem befall the Countrywide ---- without a "proper thought through" ---- by solving the plastic problem - but causing big hygiene problem.
