Look like Sunnis and Shiites struggle for power and authority will take a long time to resolve - just like the Catholics and Protestants which take a whopping 388 years to reconcile.

"Moderation" is the only path - to cool tension and help to lead to reconciliation.
Hardline will inflame tension - and will lead to escalation of conflict.

The election of US Presidency - will be very crucial, as it will have direct impact on whether the Sunnis and Shiites power struggle will inflame further or tension will cool.
If Donald Trump is elected as President of USA --- cannot imagine what will become of Middle East, as well as how the West will be impacted - as turbulence will be expected to escalate many fold.
