North Korea's nuclear claim could raise threat of war

US may have to work closely with China and even Russia to engage N Korea to resolve this issue.

    • The negotiation will be tough - only China can understand the psyche better than anyone else.
    • Can assure you that N Korea will not want war.
But they will be tough and unpredictable to negotiate.
      • Notice that unlike Iran, US is not eager or patient to hold talk with N Korea.
This could be due to differences in leverages and interest involved.
US has greater interest to talk to Iran - because US need help from Iran to resolve a couple of Middle East conflict in which Iran has influence.
Iran is also more mature in handling foreign affairs.
N Korea on the other hand has no leverage on any affair in which US need to rely on and hence lesser interest and patient for US to work with N Korea.
N Korea is less mature in handling foreign affairs.
Hence, China will be in a better position to lead the talk with N Korea, but US need to back up China (because if US is not showing interest, progress will not made - and more provocation by N Korea will continue).

      • Sim     Simply say :-
        (1) N Korea want to talk to US and want to extract some benefits as N Korea does not want to rely fully on China.
        (2) US not keen to talk to N Korea and not willing to offer some benefits to N Korea as US feel that N Korea cannot offer any benefits to US.
Hence this lead to occasional provocation such as the nuclear test to force US to respond.

    • O
    • Otherwise why do you think the N Korea leadership is willing to host a US basket ball man and a team?

    • This time, N Korea did not inform China before the nuclear test because when N Korea band performance display missile launch at the background in China is inform by China to take it down, N Korea knew that China will object and respond unfavorably, thus N Korea decide to go ahead without informing China.
