If one adopt hardline policy, and make enemies with many people - the chances of conflict and war will be very high.
But if one adopt a Win-Win policy, and try to make friends with many people including your adversaries - the chances of conflict and war with people will be significantly reduced.
Ever since President Obama and His Administration start to go on the Win-Win Policies - US has make many friends which in the past is the adversaries eg. China, Iran, Cuba, even Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.....
So for the past 10 years, did US fight big wars with anyone?

There are no permanent enemies.
When one open your heart and mind, your adversaries will reciprocate and open their heart and mind to you.
Actually Israel and Palestine can make biblical history of forging Peace.
It is very close - but unfortunately it was squander the last minute.
The Pope make a visit wanting to register the historical breakthrough - but all go down the drain.

And in Middle East, there is a Divine Resolution to :-
(1) Forge Peace between Sunnis & Shiites
(2) Forge Peace between Muslim & Jews.
to close and nurse this Dharma biblical wounds .....
When will it succeed, nobody knows.
How will it succeed?
Only when everyone "open your Hearts and Minds - can it succeed".
Only when everyone "unclench your fists - can it succeed".
Only when everyone "turn your right cheek to be slap by your adversaries, when your adversaries slap your left cheek - can it succeed".

The Universal Karma of foiling the last Divine Intervention to forge a lasting peace for Israel and Palestine ---- is the karma of mutual killings of one another (some use knives, some use car, some use guns).
The Peace is presented to both sides - but both sides foil it.
The only way to terminate this karma and future karma - is to restart the Peace Talk - and this time both sides must be able to Open Your Heart and Your Mind - to Empathise in the negotiation.
The offer is made - whether both want to take it or not.

Humans by nature - start with Compassion, kindness and goodness.
No humans are designed to draw blood on fellow human beings.

Humans by "Opening your Hearts and Minds to Others" - will bring others including your adversaries to reciprocate by "Opening their Hearts and Minds to You".
This is the design of Divinity.

If Catholics and Protestants can reconcile after they have fought war, terrorism, conflict for more than 400 years :-
(1) Why Jews and Muslims cannot?
(2) Why Sunnis and Shiites cannot?
Now why Christians and moderate Muslims can?
