Wonder why not make it compulsory for mountaineers to Himalayas to carry Location-Based Tracking System such as GPS transponder - so that base can track their exact location all the way up until they return to base.

By doing so Nepal Government can earn extra revenue from renting the LBS GPS transponder as well as revenue for monitoring and tracking hikers for their safety. In addition, hikers can feel that they are being look after and should any emergency arises, help can be despatched.
