Secular Malaysia made Islamic for political mileage, ex-minister says

This is a
secular and more moderate view that argur well for the modern World. Many
lessons can be learned from the experience of many countries that have fallen
into turmoil as a result of racial divide, religious divide and social income
divide that we are witnessing today :-
(1) Syria – the civil war that break out because of social income divide arising from Arab Spring and subsequently complicated by religions divide between the Shite, Sunni and other minorities. The situation become more complicated when international groups play on the racial divide and bring the whole country into a deep, now almost irreversible conflict, bloodshed and almost heavy infrastructure damage and a wrecked economy. This turmoil has lasted more than 2 years – that cause a country to have some peace and economically doable into a country of wrecked and ruin.
(2) Thailand – social income divide between the yellow elite group and the red rural group that cause political turmoil and led to slow economic growth even though the 2 groups belong to the same Buddhist group. The majority Buddhist group and Muslim in the South also experience religious and racial divide that result in unrest and bombings in which Malaysia are helping to broker for peace. The political turbulence have go on for many years – almost reaching a decade now.
(3) Iraq – see a religious divide and social income divide between the rich minority Sunni and the majority poorer Shite and the exchanging on hands between the ruler and the ruled. The many bombings that damage the infrastructure, that chase away investors – has result in economic damage to the country. Many years have gone and the country has still not reconciliated and are still in religious and racial hatred.
(4) Ukraine – the racial divide between the Ukraine in the south and the Russian speaking group in the East – has triggered a civil war and damage many government institution and even splitting the country.
What is worst, the polarisation of Ukraine and Russian speaking group – has pitch the 2 Security Blocs – the NATO and the Russian Blocs into a confrontation – the nexus region that trigger World War 1 and World War 2.
Both Blocs have arsenal can destroyed the World many times over – with conventional weapons and nuclear weapons. Where human mankind can say bye-bye to one another.
There are many more examples of such polarisation and divides in the World – that we have seen a country fall from heaven to hell --- and basked in Hellish realm for many years – unable to pick themselves up.
Building a country take many years. Destroying a country is very fast. And once turmoil occurs – it will take many years to reconcile and pick themselves up.
Of course there are some success story of reconciliation like :-
(1) The recent Malaysia broker peace between the Philippine Catholics and the Philippine Muslim group. Philippine are doing well economically today – with more than 6% GDP growth. The reconciliation take many years to pick themselves up.
(2) Indonesia that have reconciliated the majority Muslims and the minorities Chinese and other minorities. Similarly, Indonesia are doing well economically as well – also more than 6% GDP growth. Similarly, the reconciliation take many years.
Malaysia has done well economically and have been quite peaceful – except during election.
But Polarisation through racial divide, religious divide and social income divide – will be the surest and fastest way that will destroy the country overnight.
Unity build a country which take decades to build, Polarisation will destroy a country which can take very short time to destroy.
Will Malaysia want to see herself disintegrate from a relatively peaceful, prosperous country into a country of turmoil – by polarising the citizens into religious divide, racial divide and social income divide – the 3 bane that cause a country to fall from heaven to hell ?
