The last 2 by-election that show BN beating PH - demonstrate no-confidence in Mahathir as Prime Minister.

Mahathir is not solving the problem face by the voters and not fulfilling the GE promise - but in fact make matter worst.

Mahathir with his old thinkings, old way of doing things, full of grudges - are not helping in the governance - but instead waste time politicking than governing and picking fight with Singapore and flip-flop on investment policies that deter investors like China, Singapore and other Countries.

Mahathir should seriously consider stepping down and let his successor take over - as voters are getting more and more disenchanted by this archaic Mahathir --- who propose nothing new and pragamatic policies - but instead lock on old grudges and old way of doing things --- that is not very valid in the current global political and economic climate.

I still my have doubts that thia Anwar will be the next PM... Anwar seems to give the impression that only the snake can do what that is to be done for the country ! That means, to me, that Anwar is openly admitting that he is not so capable to lead ! So how to be the next PM ???

Word to describe dr M: Failure

1. Failed when he was pm for so many years
2. Failed to select a good successor
3. Failed in mulitiple national projects
4. Failed in even current stint as PM
5. Failed to get confidence from Parti or people.

He may 1 or 2 elections but will fail the country overall.

However he succeeded fooling a nation for 22yrs and comeback again 2nd time to do all over again with million of new audiences.

@Steve Mok, brilliant take on TDMM. Time for him to step down and let the younger, creative and upright leaders with integrity manage the country. TDMM too is seen as one with tainted hands over 22 years of his authoritarian rule.

He had failed miserably when he had the opportunity to bring Malaysia forward. He continue to stifle Malaysia’s growth and instead of addressing Malyaysia’s problems, he’s spending time cooking up quarrels with everyone including bungling up on foreign relations. Hallmark of senility.

U r only partly correct about mys politics of TM’s failures for mys. The true failures r having Malay PMs or DPMs n key ministers.
Melayu r only good s insignificant ministers like in Sg. Or like President halimah or Yusuf if u count them s melayu. In today’s competitive world , if u do not have top ministers from the tested brains of early civilizations ppl such s the Chinese n Indians in mys or Sg, the country is going to fail very miserably whether it has any resources like the oil n resource rich states of Africa. These lazy, slave brained n primitive tribe ppl including aborigines required protection by the smarter races. They cannot govern nor manage in any competitive environment. They never have plans, savings, vision nor ideas of what competition was. If Sg were to disallow any non Malays to hold the PM, DPM or key ministers’ posts, without resources, Sg would have long gone s a Haiti. So pls wake up to face reality.

I dont agree with you. I think there are fair share of talented Malays in Malaysia. There also many Malays performing better than Chinese and Indians right here in Singapore.

The problem is misguided voters cheated by politicians playing racial card.

Anwar Ibrahim is not wise. A man that never learn his lesson.
Everybody knows his ambition including Mahathir. He is trying to put up a supporting front to try to mask his ambition in the face of Mahathir. Do you expect Mahathir to not know about it.
Abang Anwar it is useless, Mahathir will not give a damn to you.
You can only be the leader not through carrying the balls but win the heart of the people instead. Your hope of the old man happily passing over the baton is nothing but a pipe dream.
Stop speaking up for the old man but show the people you are the better choice. If only the people and other government support you only you will be in the running. Don't have your hope too high on snake's words. They are nothing and may slips away very quickly.
Nobody will blame you if you don't speak up for the old man. Just stir away from him and let him rot and don't associate too close with him.

Anwar is right to state that it was not possible to see the outcome within a period of several months BUT what the people see are that Mahathir 2.0 is subtly morphed back to Mahathir 1.0 with his infamous U turns and his government lost sense of direction, incoherent policies and lack of inspiration which what brought PH to power. Hopefully Anwar will able to do a better job IF he takes over earlier. If Anwar take over too late, Anwar will have no time to repair the damage done by Mahathir and Ex-BN govt combined!!!

The PH had FAILED in their promises. A gov that doesnt keep promises cant be well trusted. Face that Dato Anwar!

Dr M said he won't accept defecting UMNO members readily but look at how he became like a barn for losers!

Dr M is strengthening his party so his party holds a strong majority in the coalition. Even if he steps aside in 2 years (1 year 2 months to go), will you, Anwar, remains PM for long? Next GE, Dr M party wins the majority and his son will helm the gov, provided PH retains being the gov!

It may be Mahathir's fault, Anwar's fault, PH's fault, Chinese fault, Jew fault and everybody faults

In the country like Malaysia where Malays are the majority race, the fault lies with UMNO and PAS Malays themselves. Whether you are a kleptocrat, a thief, a liar and etc, don't matter as these Malays will continue to vote for those who give them money to survive and enjoy their lives without working. They have no dignity, no credibility, no honor, no moral, no principle and etc. That's why despite after 60 years of being pampering them, there is nothing that they are successful. Everything they are involved, failed and it failed badly.

The country is cursed by this group of handicapped race.

If Mr Anwar is the shrewd politician he is said to be, it would be obvious that the concerns are fundamental to government in general and PKR in particular. The win is least about UMNO. The people all have questions for The Alliance. Are they up to the job the rakyat entrusted to them??? The Malays want to be assured their needs are not forgotten. The other races want to be assured their angst is assuaged and the desire for a more fair, just and balanced society is entrenched into the national psyche and philosophy . The whole of Malaysia wants justice - - a robbery has taken place, the peopleSee More

As long as the kleptocrats and all the thieves under the previous regime are allowed to roam free, PH is going to lose any future by elections. The people are getting frustrated over the slow motion action taken by the relevant authorities. PH government must ensure that the said kleptocrats and thieves are treated as such and not given any preferential treatments, such as not being made to wear the proper attires of MACC and PDRM suspects when brought to court. In fact, they wanted to see Najib and Rosmah in jail yesterday.
