Malaysia and Indonesia should band together to go against EU. Ban on palm oil is nonsense just like ban on Huawei. It is time both countries show EU their clout. Nowadays you can buy anything from other countries rather than from the West. Go ahead, buy Russian planes, Chinese planes, they are just as good.

It's not nonsense, when I first came to Malaysia 25+ years ago all around airport and every where else was natural forest where animals lived and roamed freely, now all destroyed for palm oil, remember orangutan used to live there

Alan Rayment this is largely true, and very much worst in Kalimantan & Indonesia. Many virgin forest are slashed & burned, wild lifes driven to extinct, orangutan killed intentionally, just to clear land for palm plantation. Its completely rampant with zero control, all approved on a bribe.
Its also a way to award cronies by politicians,similar to West but in more crude way.
Its praise worthy EU has tried to persuade good practice, but it needs prove EU isn't doing a double standard on West capitalists worst destruction of Amazon forests & elsewhere.
