If religious extremist views are allowed online, then it is likely we will see more :-
(1) ISIS take root in Islam
(2) ISIS equivalent take root in Christiantiy and Catholics
(3) ISIS equivalent take root in Hinduism
(4) ISIS equivalent take root in Buddhism and Taoism

Moderate views will positively influence wholesome behaviors, tolerance and understanding.

Extremist views will in turn negatively breed unwholesome behaviors, quarrel, infighting, terrorism, divisiveness.

But their ideologies are not. If extremist views are allowed to propagate online - they will come back again.

Some religious teachings,esp organised groups have tendencies to be extremist..Religions should strictly be forbidden to preach to other religions .Their aggressiveness is fodder for trouble

Religion is between two parties.

God & Believer.

Third party sharing their third party view is sometime dangerous if the third party is a wolf wearing a sheep skin. Many wolf is in many sick news.

E.g a monk should not need a salary or b seen in public space.

Theres not such thing as God.

1st, there was a big bang and gravity pulled space debris together to form planets.

2nd, the universe had since became bigger and bigger there after.

3rd, in the middle of the universe there is a blackhole.

And lastly, the golden question : where the hell is heaven. Its not here, not on Mars, the Sun is too hot. So where is God residing?

Clifton Foo god exist or god do not exist is still depend on human choice in what he/she see, feel, touch & decide.

The theory u wrote is a living universe. It move around in a harmoniously pattern we human describe it call "science discovery". Still human making his/her decision in their believe.
If u choose "Science" u r living in a world full of wonder question named by human.
If u choose a religion u r living within that religion that human saw & passes on.

Which religion is now so radicalize & profess extremism, esp Saudi-wahabism in Asean & Middle East Muslim countries, that resulted in islamphobia? Very PC.

All religion extremism online must not be tolerated, as it lead to very serious consequence. We can whine & complaint anything, but religion must be OB as it can be exploited by foreign forve easily for subversion.

While Islam & Catholic/Christian come from same source that split up with different view of JC been God or messenger, their strong view are not so apart. Afterall, for centuries they have been crusading & jihading each other over Jerusalem. Still on going with different names.

SG is fortunate to have harmonized multiculturalism & religion that should not be taken for granted. The world is very chaotic now, filled with fanatic Muslims been radicalized as geopolitical tool. Our Malay bros & Sis here are rather mild & friendly, but not elsewhere.

Even White nationalism is mushroom up under capitalist globalization & disastrous refugees/immigration policy driven of West leaders controlled by lobbyists. NZ mass shooting is one of recent tragedy.

I'm already constantly exposed to propaganda from government and religious bodies online. In a way, overexposure to propaganda over time has desensitized me to material that are meant to manipulate me in the way desired by the propagandists.

Likewise, I really don’t think propaganda from religious extremists would amount to anything to me. Therefore, I can’t really be bothered with whether they are allowed to or barred from posting their views online.

I suppose as a society, we should probably stop the views of religious extremists from appearing online, perhaps because there could still be people who may be susceptible to it

Perhaps the 26.7% who allowed religious extremist views online had linked the survey question to censorship.

If the said question was rephrased or followed up with a multiple-choice question on ways to tackle extremist views online (ie, banning, education, moderate counter-posts), the results would have been different.

So, I wouldnt be worried about 26.7%.

Btw, I would be among the 73.7% who disallow religious extremist views online.

Individuals in religious communities should have the freedoms to hear alternative to mainstream religious views if he or she wants to. There is nothing wrong with that.

Yes. Every one is entitled to choices.

White supremacist is also a religion (a religion is a belief)
When new york was attacked, Sg govt condemned the act.
When innocents were killed in the US war on Iraq, Sg govt didnt condemn the US. This is clearly double standards. Why is SG encouraging acts of war when whites killing is ok, but not ok when wbites get killed?

Singapore Government Should Continue What They Are Doing , Consult The Religious Concils And Not To Be Bowing To The Rising Of The New Religion.
