Amicable and constructive is good. But when it comes to negotiations with Mahdey, take the lead and go public.

Right now while officials behind the scenes are trying to resolve the issues, he goes around spreading misinformation and inciting his people against us.

However, if we take the lead in going public, and are open and transparent wrt our stance, positions and issues before he can open his mouth, he will end up looking foolish and forced to spend more time defending himself and his nonsense to his people than inciting them into a frenzy over false pretenses

This is his cookbook previously when he :-
(1) incite his government and whole of Malaysia by threatening to cut our water supply --- this event almost trigger an all-out-war between Singapore and Malaysia.

We have prepare a Land-Air-Sea operation force ready to take action.
We invite their foreign affair personnel to view one unit of our operation force.
They thought we are only doing a training exercise - until we tell them we are ready to take action.
This make the old hat change the mind quickly and not to carry out his threat of cutting our water supply - when the old hat found out that we are ready to take action.

(2) he incite tension when he board boats to want to go on-board Pedra Branca (like what he instigate Osman Saipan to do likewise).

Our navy vessels are ready to take action - and his security force advise him to leave Pedra Branca - as they notice we are serious in taking action.

This old hat - has no qualm about brinkmanship --- and won't hesitate to push our security forces to the point of actual confrontation.

Our military forces must stand ready - and in the event he "cross our red lines" - our military forces must act to "teach him a real good lesson".

He already make a FOOL out of Himself in the world stage with SG student. So he has nothing to lose and Malaysia is going no where with this OLD MAN. If he can he will shut down the causeway too, like he shut down CLOB. Beside water he has nothing to take from SG. The railway issue no longer there, but he never say that the railway land make million for Malaysia. SG sea-land he can't take except to give a little trouble or else the 1979 map will be null and void too for Malaysia.

Nothing really clever about people who are only good at calmly deploying ethical discourse, morals and justness to win an argument with the naïveté masses.

The essence of the problem is far deeper than the gleaming and shimmering surfaces of the rich man’s language. The liabilities of the rich man’s house will come calling sooner or later. After all, how do you suppose a “barren land” able to prosper without capitalising on the rich resources(including talents) of their neighbours?

How do you suppose the rich get richer if not through “amicable and constructive manner”?

Is your wealth standing in the way of peace is a tough question to face for Sin.

With all due respect sir, if I park my car in your house parking lot for more than 1hour, you will have it towed away and you will send me a big fat fine or summon.
What is so different about Polaris which is illegally anchored within Singapore waters? A "strong protest" has been exhausted. What is the next level of escalation?

The whole country is looking at this thing and we are "suffering" from humiliation. It seems that our billion dollar army, submarines, F15SGs are all for show and nothing else. Paper army. We don't want war or fights but surely you and the ministers (millionairre ministers) can come up with better solutions?
