Universal Law of Karma is always just and fair.

Those who do evil, will reap bad karma.
Those who are kind and just, will reap good karma.

So you mean 15k people in Kota Tinggi reap karma? Or did rationing rob someone of his basic IQ?

Tan Koo Koo - If you really want to understand karma - only Buddha can explain to you.

You should have probably ask :-
(1) what is collective karma?
(2) why only this 15,000 reap the karma
(3) when this 15,000 karma - who in addition are suffering - need to bring water elsewhere to support this 15,000
(4) when this happen, the whole Country taxpayer need to pay extra to bring water elsewhere to support the 15,000
(5) is only Kota Tinggi experiencing drought only?
(6) Many parts of Malaysia are facing drought.
(7) Why Mahathir evil deeds can affect the whole country?

(8) Is it because voters vote for him and thus collective karma sets in?

Buddha with his supreme perfect Samadhi Jhana - will be able to tell you through his linking consciousness of karma --- and tell you the actual causation and effects -- specifically collective karma.

Without Buddha Perfected Supreme Jhana Samadhi and 3 Times Perfected Nirvana - we can only infer.

Kenneth Avan Just for your information, Singapore's last water rationing was 55 years ago when we were still part of Malaysia. We have our own water supplies. Only a small fraction is from Johor. Good luck. Karma is at your side.

Ang Jianchao Singapore learnt from this, 55 years ago...
West Malaysia did not learn any lesson, and will not learn any lesson.
Selangor also has water problem.
Malaysia did not invest in watermanagement.
Earnings from sale of God's water go line the pockets of the directors and partners of the syrikat berhad.

Ang Jianchao Let's not behave like those officials in Malaysia using water as a bargaining chip. Johore will know who they can turn if they need help.

Eddie Lim. Nonsense! Singapore is NOT SELF SUFFICIENT (water) as you claimed.

Please go read up before you speak.

For the benefit of your ignorance. 50% water supply is still needed from Johor. Be sensible that we should be grateful!

Political swings should be kept political than costing us our basic senses.

Tan Koo Koo, Your "koo koo" comment clearly shows you're on which side ? Where is your sense of justice for S'pore if you're S'porean when Pollicians from the north are threatening our survival ?

Tan Koo Koo - what make you think that Singapore local water supply cannot meet our own needs?

When Singapore draw 250 mgd a day from Johor - it is the contract obligation that Johor must sell us water.

When Johor supply us 250 mgd a day of water that meet our 60% of water needs --- it does not means that we ourselves cannot supply sufficient for our needs if we ramp up the full production capacity of our NEwater plants, Desalination plants and our Reservoirs.

We need 430 mgd a day of water.
Our 3 local taps production already exceed our needs if we run in full capacity.

Where did you get the information that our local supply cannot meet our water needs?

Time to put the blame on Mahatir for not solving the issue and instead harping on the price of water sold to Singapore. Carry on like this and Johore will still face water rationing while Singapore have a steady supply through careful planning. Mahatir once said Singaporeans are drinking toilet water. Better than no water.

Saifuddin said before Putrajaya escalates the issue, it first needs to ensure that Johor state has ample water supply. "We need to work on zero dependency on water from Singapore,” he stated.

Understand that ONLY if JOHOR has enough water then Malaysia will take the water price issue to IA. So why is SG providing extra water then? Are they storing the extra water underground? If not how are Johor going to get enough water? Strange statement right?

This dry spell seems to be a "warning from the sky" to stop supplying free raw water (or rain) to M'sia for constantly harping on all those "morally wrong" and ridiculous request / issues under the vintage Old M and his "sub-standard" ministers with S'pore.
Question is can their own federal govt help Johor or ultimately still need to depend on S'pore's "goodwill gesture" ?
The problem with M'sia under the Old M is that not only they're so ungrateful not to appreciate what S'pore had done for them, they still have the cheek to take advantage of our kindness and humanity and continue to threaten our survival.

"just too bad..." you're so mild to M'sia but very harsh on S'pore which shows where you stand and whether your heart is with S'pore or M'sia with no sense of justice ? ?
