Malaysia could use their combat planes to knock out othet F-35 fighters before they decide to scrap it in a few years time. Based on many reports, F-35 can't dogfight.

That is true if those older combat planes are able to even flying near and outmanoeuvre the much faster F-35. I think before their system is able to detect the F-35, they are already shot down. Nowadays where got 'dog fight'.

F35s are not supposed to dog-fight. They are supposed to take out enemy jets stealthily and at long range.

What nonsense is that. You know Israel lost 2 F35 near Syria border, one wrecked beyond repaired, one damaged. Its only old Russia S200 that hit it. Since IAF never deploy f35 once, only f16 that is faster & carry larger pay load.
Still f16 was shot down by S200 killing the pilots entering Syria border, so IAF has to resort in hiding deep inside Lebanon valleys airspace to launch its missiles & duck off.
After IAF used Russia reconnaissance plane as shield to escape from S200, causing it to be shot down, Russia delivered S300PMU to Syria army. That make Israel no longer can go near Syria border. Only using f16 shoot from Lebanon airspace & speed off.

I am not doubting that MY ability to maintain their old combat planes very well (akan like old vintage car for show only) but what is the use to keep your old planes so well when actually in combat use kena shot down because unable to keep up with the enemy's modern flying machine.

Malaysia using MIG combat plane is a very fast plane. During the Vietnam War, about 900 US F4 fighter planes were shot down. Vietnamese were using MIG and sble to outmanoeuvre the F4. MIG is fast and can turn quickly than the F4. Vietnamese pilot strategy is hit and run with the F4 which is a slower plane than MIG. Vietnamese pilot learn the skill from the Russian.

Actually, about 400 F4s were lost during the Vietnam War. A lot of them were shot down by surface to air missiles rather than Migs. The Mig-17s, 19s & 21s were indeed more maneuverable than the F4s, but the F4s twin engines were more powerful and could easily out-run the Migs. Hence, the fewer F4 losses from Migs as opposed to SAMs.

So we now know his threat to EU was actually an empty threat.
Then he went on to play his old broken record again saying "What I was doing was telling the world that it is grossly unfair for rich countries to prevent poor countries from getting richer by not buying their products (palm oil). That was all." I think Mahathir actually think the whole world owes his country a living because his country is poor because of him. All of us should chip in to help him make his country richer. But his family, especially his sons, are very rich.
