Mahathir, who has suspended several of his nation's major projects with China, warned during an official visit to the Philippines against allowing a surge of foreigners.
--
Mahathir is offending China - his 3rd largest investor in Malaysia.

And Mahathir is also offending Singapore - his largest investor in Malaysia.

(1) Singapore invested RM116.3billion or S$38.77 billion as in 2017 - the largest investor in Malaysia.

(2) Japan invested RM71.6billion or S$23.86 billion - the 2nd largest investor.

(3) China invested RM65billion or S$21.67 billion - the 3rd largest investor.
--

Thus Malaysia economy will continue to plunge and job creation will continue to fall --- because Singapore (the largest investor) and China (the 3rd largest investor) --- will start pulling out and new investment will shun Malaysia --- as long as Mahathir continue to be the prime minister.

In fact, China tourism is dwindling and is shunning Malaysia as a tourist spot --- and will not hit the 3 million target it hope for.

Singapore should similarly do likewise like China :-
(1) Indefinitely postpone billions of dollars of ringgit in Iskandar industrial park investment.

(2) Urge Singapore investment to withdraw and re-invest their business and investment elsewhere
Singapore investment stand at RM116.3billion or S$38.77 billion.

(3) Singaporeans should stop tourism travel of Johor that contribute S$16.6 billion or RM$50 billion to Johor Economy.

This will in effect teach teach Mahathir, Osman Saipan and this Bersatu’s Johor chapter Mohd Solihan Badr a good lesson.

Malaysia finances are getting from bad to worse --- where "sovereign wealth fund Khazanah had incurred more than RM6 billion (US$1.46 billion) in losses." in just 1 year when Mahathir take over.

Malaysia voters will certainly feel the big pinch - when both Singapore and China deliver a big lesson to Mahathir - in investment, tourism and trade.

Malaysia voters should reject Mahathir and force Mahathir to step down as prime minister --- if Malaysians should not continue to suffer from Mahathir mishandling of foreign affairs - and offending Singapore and China --- who are Malaysia biggest tourism, investment and trade partners.

In contrast to Mahathir's harsh rhetoric, the manifesto of his Pakatan Harapan alliance says it would continue to encourage investment from Asian countries including China, but would review ALL megaprojects regardless of who is behind them. Rian Maelzer, CGTN, Kuala Lumpur.
--

You see the rest of PH cabinet ministers don't agree with Mahathir's harsh rhetoric.

The cabinet ministers should collectively force Mahathir to step down as prime minister - because he is doing more harm than good to Malaysia economy.

Mahathir is not only picking fight with Singapore, he is also picking fight with China.

philippines has 100mil people and still welcome diligent chinese workers, but malaysia has only 29mil people and only welcome muslims who unfortunately are too few in numbers and mostly jobless too. See Dr m's mistakes? now philippines annual growth rate is highest in the world over 40% increase per yr for last 3 yrs already with china investments and help........ malaysia? heavily in debt and technically bankrupt... now even indonesia is financially more sound than malaysia... what a shame..

Come on Dr M, you cannot even solve your own "tonnes of domestic issues" yet still have the cheek to advise others ?
Are you kidding or still thinking so highly of yourself and so boastful to promote yourself with those "morally wrong" advice ?
All the brainy or talented M'sians are going to leave you and your cronies alone with your biased choice of accepting those "brotherhood influx" based on race and religion.
M'sia is definitely getting from bad to worse.

HAHHAHAHAH, the old crony is going there to drive negativism into The Phillipines. The people there must not be naive to believe him.
Like he said, ships must pass freely through the channels. People must also pass freely (if they are legal) into the countries bilaterally benefiting.
Foreigners probably pay more taxes than local people. What is he talking about? Rubbish. Again.

Philippines should take the advice of Mahathir seriously... and don't let the influx of Malaysians into the Philippines by coming out with measures, e.g. daily quotas for Malaysians going into Philippines, having strict visas requirements, controlling Malaysian Investments, etc...

Errr... Hey, What am I talking about? Malaysia under PH does not have enough money even to invest in Malaysia, let alone in other countries.

Sad to see an amazing country like Philippines fall down the china hole. Just here to steal your resources and destroy the best thing u have going nature. Yes they lend money. But said money can only be used on chinese labor and products so ur left with a new road and a large bill for it yet no money ever going into Filipino pockets

He should go the USA to tell Donald Trump not to borrow money from China.
If they can't pay, the lender will forfeit their land.

I think Dr M is good at political maths when he he told the Philippines not to "disturb the political equation". Presumably, he must have found out that ASEAN leaders are not good at maths.
