Deliberate destruction of houses, infrastructures - when not engaging IS - is uncalled for as civilians will be deprived of the places they supposed to come back to stay after the war.

Revenge destruction will sour the relationship with the Government when the war is over - and pose big social and political problems.

If there are firefight and military engagement with IS who booby traps with bombs on the building, consequential damages to the buildings and infrastructure may be unavoidable.

But deliberate damages to the buildings and infrastructure should be avoided - so as not lead to high cost of redevelopment when the war is over and also not to cause sufferings to the civilians that will rip anger to the Government who need to run them after the war.
