The modest win to recapture towns from the IS is a good start.
But the Iraqi troops and militia must ensure not to conduct revenge attack and private execution after capturing the towns and lands.

To win the battle and final war against the IS, the Iraqi troops and militias must win over the Sunnis and the minorities.

If the war is finally won, the Shiite majority must win over the Sunnis, Kurds and other minorities to form coalition Government - so that IS will not exploit the fissure in Iraq and cause problem later.

No battle or war in winnable - if there are no support from the people it win.
No Country is ruleable - if the people it rule is alienated.
The Country can be ruled - if the people feel that they are represented in the Government and their welfare are taken care of.

If this is not done, what have been won will be lost.
History and lessons - speak for itself.
