This current stand is pragmatic though not ideal.
Iraq scenario is quite similar to Syria scenario.
But US may need to win over the other coalition partners if they share similar view.
Only then, the battle with IS in Syria can succeed.
Thereafter, will be how to handle the Syria refugee crisis and the final political settlement that will stop the civil war and reconstruct the Countries from the ash.
