So far all the Government policies have been inclusive - addressing all the various strata of the population eg. low-income, elderly, middle class through Budget 2015 plus other policies like Pioneer Generation, Silver Support, redistribution of wealth, creating employment opportunities for the younger workforce, changes in CPF, more cycling path, more hawker centres etc.

One group that is missing and slipping through the crack is the mature Singaporeans PMETs and Workers who have been displaced or unemployed. This group have problem finding jobs after they lose their jobs through economy restructuring, business restructuring, retrenchment etc.

Thus the Government now focusing on this group of people to help them to find jobs is a relieve. But look like it will take some time to reap the result as the Nation, business, management need to rethink their attitudes towards this group of people bearing in mind they will also grow old or their children will also grow old and subject to the same discrimination.
