"On its own Huawei can't resolve this problem, we need to seek support from government policy," one unnamed employee wrote last week, in a post that received dozens of likes and replies.
The employee outlined a plan for China to block off its smartphone market from all American components much in the same way Beijing fostered its internet tech giants behind a "Great Firewall" that keeps out Google, Facebook, Twitter and dozens of other foreign companies.
"Our domestic market is big enough, we can use this opportunity to build up domestic suppliers and our ecosystem," the employee wrote.

Do note that I differentiate between western news agencies and western commentators.
Years back when I was an avid reader of TIME magazine, articles about Asia all tend to end with the same note. The articles can be praising Japan or whatever Asian countries but they got to have a last paragraph that will imply something negative about that Asian country in question.
Here in CNA, have we seen an AFP or Reuters article stating the pessimism of American workers over the trade war? AFP quoted Xinsheng here but go read the comments in New York Times and The Washington Post and you’ll find lots of people over there having anxious moments, if not more.
I’m not saying that this AFP article is untrue but has AFP / Reuters reported about the pessimism on the other side of the Pacific Ocean?
