It also accelerated the implementation of the Cybersecurity Act, which came into force on Aug 31 last year. The agency designated all CIIs by the end of 2018, and all CII owners must now comply with their obligations under the Act such as reporting cyber incidents to CSA within prescribed timeframes, he said.

I think they will move into the CII (Critical Information Infrastructure) under CSA for IT security monitoring, management and response.

It is also time for government agencies to Invest in training of Singaporeans in view of this kind of incident compromising personal data of the public. It is no point
just saying to ensure people to stay resilient in cyber defence.
I have come to know many young Singaporeans have given up IT jobs since tge government agencies outsource their IT jobs and thus many foreigners of sub standards being hired and they are paid much lower than Singaporeans. Of couse these vendors are looking at maximising their profits at the expense of Singaporeans future and cyber security resilience.
