Any poltiical parties who aspire to be in politics - must be "equal" or "better" than the "BENCHMARK" set by Mr LKY and PAP.
Like when Mr LKY and PAP as opposition to the incumbent Lim Yew Hock government - win the election, they outperform the incumbent and set a very high benchmark.
If political parties cannot match - equal or better than the benchmark ----- then it will be "out" whether voted out by voters or other means due to its own inadequacies.
Mediocre and incompetency has no place in politics - because it govern every Singaporeans' lives and future.
