This sly old fox always give us hard time since 1981 under our LKY control and now second terms still give us hard time to negotiate on airspace and maritime dispute anyway we have many times to negotiate but he have no time so we can wait

Andrew Tan - There will be more actions and hardening stand coming across the Causeway trigger by the old hat" - by just looking at their internal political struggle :-

"In the scathing statement issued two days after Nurul Izzah announced her resignation, Anwar blasted the party’s acceptance of Umno defectors as a way to shore up power for “nefarious ends”.
Observers said the allegation was a culmination of the growing hostility between Anwar and Dr Mahathir’s camps caused by suspicion of a purported plan by PPBM leaders to block the former from taking office. Dr Mahathir and his allies, however, have rubbished the allegation.
More than 20 Umno MPs are planning to or have joined PPBM, and should more defections take place, the new Malay party could see its federal seat tally increase to over 40, bringing it closer to PKR’s 50. PPBM now has 16 seats under its control.

There was also the suggestion that PH leaders should be blocked from making public statements without permission, a proposal that analysts said underscored the gravity of the situation."

---- We should stay focus and address every specific issues the old hat raise --- and counter it rationally.

More actions will come from the Causeway --- and all we need to do is "stay calm, do what is rational and constructive, keep our position and stand firm in our vital interest - respond with Wisdom - remembering we have a long runway.

Most important --- don't play into their internal politics as the old hat is trying to use us to divert attention.
We should not respond with rashness or anger ---- as this is precisely what the old hat want.

In other words, the old hat will come up with "more ridiculous claim and issues" ---- to make us angry and make us react angrily or rashly.

We should stay calm and not react angrily or rashly.
We should respond calmly, rationally and constructively - ensuring our vital interests are safeguarded - and remember times are always on our side.

We should 见招拆招, 四两拨千斤。

This is akin to :-
(1) We should always be the "centre core" of a circle - and we must never be at the circumference of the circle.
(2) Let the old hat spin and take alot of actions as he want.

--- no matter how the old hat spin --- we will always stand and stay in focus --- as the old hat spin.

I think it's time that we take a firm stand not only by words but also by actions.

Put up regular flights by the RSAF in the "area of concern" and make sure our fighter planes are fully armed. Send our armed helicopters to patrol the area also.

Do the same with the territorial waters. Our Navy to conduct drills and exercises right there and then to show our capabilities.

Confront their vessels according to our protocols. I don't believe what we are doing right now with foreign vessels in our waters is as per protocol. You mean our protocol is to send our vessels to meet them and keep asking them "what is their intent"? And wait there with them, and then our govt will then negotiate with them?

I don't think so. I think there would be some firmer actions that would display that we don't take nonsense from any foreign intruders, even to the extend of firing warning shots.

While we definitely do not favour a confrontation, we have to let known that we do not fear one if it has to be.

Our actions now is just showing the Malaysia govt that they can still push us because although militarily we are stronger, we do not have the guts to act if need be.
