In December, Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke had posted a video on his Facebook page showing that the flight path to Seletar Airport requires a height buffer of between 54m and 145m.
In his statement, Dr Balakrishnan said: "There were allegations that Pasir Gudang will not be able to have buildings taller than five stories because of ILS, but if members cross the Causeway and drive around Pasir Gudang, you will see that there are in fact already structures as tall as 105m there."
Dr Balakrishnan also presented a satellite photograph, "obtained from open sources", depicting that there are indeed several existing high rise developments in the Pasir Gudang area.
--

Now the above facts speak more than a thousand words.

Malaysia complains that our new ILS restrict the building of tall buildings in Pasir Gudang - is in fact 无理取闹。

Creating trouble unnecessarily - to hurt bilateral ties.

In concluding his speech, Dr Balakrishnan said the strength of Singapore’s diplomacy depends on "domestic unity and resilience, and the fact that we cannot be intimidated or bought".
"This is the foundation for our diplomacy as we seek good relations with all our friends and neighbours within a rules-based international order," he said.
--

Singaporeans should be rest assured that we will not compromise our vital interests - as we deal with across the Causeway.

Most important, Singaporeans must stay united, support and stand behind our Government as they deal with across the Causeway.

Malaysia side is foolish to harp on these old issues and new issues - that they may not have good chances of gaining any benefits :-
(1) airspace
(2) maritime
(3) water agreement
--- whereby International Law works to our favor.

If Malaysia is smart enough, they should have worked with us in promoting investment, trade and tourism - that will have mutually benefit for both sides --- and will not stir up ill-feelings.

That is why evil heart and mind - will stir up hatred, tension and fricition.
Only good heart and mind - will create friendly and mutually beneficial relationship.

VB - you are wasting your breath talking to those Bodohs from the North. They are good for nothing. Only the Malaysian Malays believe them because they are all of the same breed. The only way out and to settle this matter is to bring the Bodohs to court.

Good faith??? What is that??? Good faith is only good when the other party also believes in. Just as we want to wish our neighbor good but not necessary our neighbor wish us the same thing. You all these only works if both sides are on the same frequency.

Whether good faith or not, he is paid to deal with the unreasonable. The only problem for him now is Singaporeans expect to see result.

Difficult to resolve because Malaysia have hawkish people in power.

This is not really about sea territory. You can't eat it. This is about Msia trying to limit & narrow the sea space to our gigantic new Tuas fully-automatic port, making it difficult for big ships to navigate there and reduce the parking space at our Tuas port. In other words, Madhir basically wants to screw our economy. Same thing over the Seletar airport issue. Stopping overflights over Pasir Gudang will undermine the usefulness of Seletar airport.
