Best come out with nothing. We have the financial power to wait for a less hostile GOV to settle a unfriendly behavior.

A very cunning smart old man to state airspace only meeting as he know well he has the upper hand to hurt Singapore on this issue.
Crippling our seletar airport he has good bargain to demand what he want.
What is his real motive our GOV must sniff it out fast.

Since 1981, Dr M is well known for his anti-S'pore strategies. His recent open statment : "same strategies regarding S'pore" is evident that he will continue
to inject his "poisonous DNA" into all his upcoming political leaders or officials' blood to endlessly make things difficult for us for generations to come even after his death. There are many things we can work and prosper together but he choose not to without any valid reason nor any logic & sense and never been grateful to our many goodwill gestures done for them. If there is retribution or karma, just hope one day our biggest Asean
brother Indonesia come to claim Sarawak & Sabah from MY which are just within walking distance from Kalimantan but thousands of Km away from Putrajaya. Also hopefully Johor will seek independence like Brunei which are so friendly and prosper together with S'pore (with equal 1 to 1 currency excahnge rate) instead of having to contribute heavily to those unproductive & irresponsible federal government who only do politiking at the expense of ordinary people.

This old hat in the past say "there are many ways to skin a cat" - refering to us --- eg. cut our water, rescind the clob, impose RM$100,000 for house bought, pedra branca naval intrusion, etc etc.

But this old hat fail to realise that now we can "skin the 93 old snake" with thousand ways - and burn him badly.

He still think he got leverages over us ---- little did he know that he whole table is turn against the old hat.

We hate to do such things - because they are not constructive - but in fact damage relationships that can bring mutual benefits.

But when the old hat display hostilities and act to harm our interests - we have no choice but to respond accordingly ---- 见招拆招,四两拨千斤。

Last time :-
(1) The old hat turn off the tap - we will die of thirst.
But now Johor will die of thirst if the old hat turn off the tap.

(2) Last time the old hat forfeit shares in clob - but now the old hat has no such leverages.

(3) The old hat last time force Singaporeans to pay an additional RM$100,000 for houses bought in Malaysia - now Singaporeans don't buy properties in Malaysia.

(4) The old hat want to squeeze our food sources by banning some eggs, fishes, shrimps, pork --- but Singapore have food sources from 129 Countries - and will not go hungry.

With not much leverages - now the old hat want to give us problem in :-
(1) want to revise water agreement again
(2) want to irritate us in port limit
(3) want to irritate us in airspaces

--- don't worry ---- we have been far worst before - we not only survive ---- but has grown from strength to strength.

Conversely now look across the Causeway ----- political turmoil, economy going down, racial disharmony, religious disharmony ---- all this are the old hat bad karma.

Now the old hat want to resume his antagonising stance again --- the bad karma will turn double worst for them.

Kindness will be rewarded with Good Karma.
Evilness will reap Bad Karma.

1) "we have been far worst before - we not only survive ---- but has grown from strength to strength."

U forgot who was stil ard at that time. Too early to say now, can only do a re-evaluation on 8 Jan, so far, not v promising..

2) if karma can solve our problems, why are we paying millions for the best team on earth? 😂😂
Reply3h
Breeke Lo -
I don't know what is your significance of 8 Jan.
Singapore has nothing to fear - and we will negotiate with strength.
More than 80% - 90% of our flight path don't go through Malaysia airspace.
Half of the 10% to 20% airspace go through South China Sea and not Malaysia airspace.

Only the pathetic 5% - 10% that go to Malaysia airspace are going to KL, Penang, Langkawi and to some ASEAN countries like Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, China Kunming.

So who will get hurt more - it is this old hat and Malaysia - if the old hat play punk on the airspace.
Probably, Sing
apore can study whether it is possible to move the flight path to some ASEAN countries like Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, China Kunming ---- using the Indian Ocean and South China Sea --- bypassing Malaysia airspace.

Compare to previously where water and food is our lifeline - there is a possibility that will go to war - if the old hat cut off our water.

But now ---- we have plently of resources at our disposal - we do not have to lose sleep.

I do not need to say too much.
Time is on our side.
Strength is on our side.
Resources is on our side.
理 and international law are on our side.

Breeke Lo - Seriously, do you think the old hat and Malaysia will lose sleep --- or do you think we will lose sleep?

Imagine all commercial flights from our side - move away from Malaysia airspace --- and move to international flight path - to Indian Ocean and South China Sea.

Do you think Malaysia Economy will get hurt?

They need to finance to S$250 billion (RM$726.7 billion) in debt and S$8.5 billion (RM$26.8 billion) in debt interest every year --- you think if we start to pull business out from Malaysia ---- will they lose sleep or not?

Now if the old hat want to play punk in intruding their naval ship to our port :-

Have no fear.

Our navy and police coast guard naval ships - have surrounded their intruded ships - akin to trap in a prison.

Also in terms of military strength :-

(1) Naval forces
Singapore have 40 missile combat vessel vs the old hat 20 missile combat vessel.
Singapore have 140 armed vessel vs the old hat 61 armed vessel.

(2) Air forces
Singapore have 200 fighters and fighters bombers vs the old hat 49 fighter planes (24 malfunction, 13 light attack - only 12 are fighters that are working)

(3) Army
Singapore have 2,700 armour, arty and missiles launcher vs the old hat 1,500.
Singapore have 1 million (active and reserve) (plus 430k decommission) troops vs the old hat 420k (active and reserve)

Do you think the old hat will dare to invade us?

So far Singapore Leaders --- have displayed maximum restraint, professionalism, calmness and constructiveness --- despite the arrogant provocation from the old hat.

Singaporeans should be very proud of our Leaders on how they handle the issues.

Singaporeans should respect our Leaders and unite behind our Leaders - as they handle and manage the provocation.

Singaporeans don't need to lose sleep --- as we will negotiate with strength.

Singaporeans should be quietly confident and stay calm while our Leaders respond to the old hat.

唉 still come back to the old idea - why Singaporeans still want to get stuck in the custom going across the Causeway to shop and dine?

If Singaporeans 不爽 and want to punish the old hat - then don't go up but spend your money and times in Singapore or some other places.

As individual, we can easily erase $16.6 billion or RM$49.8 billion from Malaysia Economy a year - by not going up to shop and dine.

The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore route is the world's busiest international flight route with 30,537 flights recorded between March 2017 and February 2018。

You think the old hat can sustain the loss more than us?

1 year cost RM$10 million.
Your old hat has RM$1 trillion debt to clear.
We have S$0 debt to clear.

BTW, we have 29 years to "slowly negotiate" with your old hat.

Your ships intrude into Singapore Territorial Water - how do you explain this?

Seletar airport has been there since Independence - we are following ICAO procedures.

For 5 decades no complain and even signed agreement - now why complain?

Your old hat try to pick a fight?

Ricky Lim : Our transport minister has requested to remove or change the ILS (Instrument Landing System..our government is against this new ILS..The ILS is a new thing and not existed since Independence..Please be kind to work on that..
Reply21mEdited
K Tan Don - This is the ICAO requirement. Your old hat should tell ICAO to refrain from publishing ILS procedure.

Seriously, we may consider diverting all commercial flights that are non-Malaysian based out of Malaysian airspace if your old hat give us more problem.

Currently, 80 to 90% of the commercial flights are in International airspace, I think we can accomodate another 10% non-Malaysian commercial flights by diverting them away from Malaysian airspace - and leave all Malaysia commercial flights in Malaysia airspace.
The international airspace is about 3 times the size of Malaysia airspace - so should not be a problem to accomodate the remaining about 5% to 10% non-Malaysian commercial flights.

Let the old hat squabble about the Malaysia airspace - and hurt all the Malaysia commercial planes like the firefly. We have 29 years runway to "slowly negotiate" with the old hat.

Heard that your firefly is not in operation for 2 months already?

Also your ships are still in our Territorial Water - when is your old hat going to withdraw them?
BTW, if your intruded ships want to withdraw - they have to seek our permission - because we have surrounded them.

To relieve a little bit of tension or stress for our S'pore's MFA offcials who may have to work overtime on this unnecessary dispute from MY for negotiation on 8-Jan, let's paint the outcome in a candid or "just for laughs" but unlikely scenario : IF ICAO "unexpectedly grant MY to take over the airspace management using MY's primitive "Visual Assesment" method instead of our advance ILS, believe to protect their own interest, all airlines plying over this region will have no choice but to issue a serious "Warning Notice" to all air travellers as follows : "Attention to All Passengers, For your own safety, pleaase bring your own parachutes in the event you are required to jump out of the aircraft. You are also required to strictly follow the "Katak or Frog" jump duly intiated and approved by Dr M that is similar to the hopping from Umno to Bersatu.

The old hat has no visibility into our airports - wonder how they guide their Malaysian aircraft to land or takeoff safely.

The old hat is an idiot beyond reasonableness - just want to pick a fight for the sake of quarreling.

Don't worry as for non-Malaysian aircrafts - we can divert them to take our international airspace.

Some people died the whole world cried....another type of people died the whole world cheer!
Now i can see the difference between the Leaders and Politician...LKY and old guards were certainly leaders. They looked into problems and solved them pragmatic ways, created jobs and good living environment.. Their countrymen's lives have improved! Once again, it is reminder for us understand.. why Singapore progress well so far! Good History lesson from DR...replayed 80s again and help us to grow stronger again!

Overall, I think it is ok... Dr likes to carry the problems to his coffin.. We can wait. Anyway, under his previous political leadership...malaysia did not progress well too. Let's show compassion and gracious behaviors towards him, allows him to show GOD ...he did work hard....as he did nothing so right so far until today!

We have thousand ways to skin a 93 year old snake (in his own words - many ways to skin a cat) - now we use his medicine to turn the table on him.
以牙还牙。
以其人之道还治其人之身。
他有张良计,我有过墙梯。

There is no need to go to war against the old hat --- as we have so much resources at our disposal --- and the old hat has no leverages against us - and cannot threaten our existence by cutting our water or threaten us with his military (because our military and strength and forces overwhelm his forces many times).

Going into war is 下策 - unless the old hat threaten our National Security or Existence or invade us - then we will deliver a Swift and D
ecisive Blow.

心法 is the best way and the highest form of 兵法。

(1) the old hat send naval ships into our Territorial Water - now his ships have been surrounded by our Navy and Police Coast Guard ship - "imprisoned".
The intruded ships can only eat, drink and shit - but cannot go any where.
If they finish their food and drink - they can continue to drink their own urine or drink sea water or eat their own shit.
Else they have to withdraw - but since we have surrounded their intruded ships - they have to beg for mercy and seek our permission to withdraw.

--- This is our military way to skin the old snake - for naval intrusion into our Territorial Water.

(2) Individually, Singaporeans can stop going across the Causeway to shop and dine.
By doing so, we can erase S$16.6 billion or RM$49.8 billion from the Malaysia Economy.

---- This is our individual way to skin the old snake - to express our man-in-the-street displeasure.

(3) Now the airspace - Singapore should study the feasibility of diverting all non-Malaysian commercial aircraft from Malaysian airspace into our Singapore FIR international airspace - and leave only Malaysian aircraft plying the Malaysian airspace.
The ongoing squabble on the ILS procedures will hurt the Malaysian aircrafts - costing RM$10 million a year.
Firefly (the subsidiary of MAS) - already stop flying in the Malaysian airspace for 2 months to our airports - and is sustaining loss.

---- This is the airspace way to skin the old snake - for causing problem with his airspace.

(4) Currently, Malaysia export US$698.7 million or RM$2.94 billion of animal, vegetables and beverages to Singapore.
Singapore have food supply sources from 129 Countries ---- and if we stop getting food supplies from Malaysia --- US$698.7 million or RM$2.94 billion will be erase from Malaysia Economy.

--- This is our way to skin the old snake export market - for banning this and that food to starve us.

Now the above is just Stage 1 of many thousand ways in respond to skin a 93 years old snake when he come out with evil ways to harm us.
We respond with 见招拆招,四两拨千斤 - and retaliate with his every move - that hurt him more than he hurt us. This is 至高无上的 心法。
Let us see how this old snake react first..... Because we have still many tricks up in our sleeves to skin this old snake (and they are even more painful to the old snake).

So why need to go to war?
There are still many more ways - as this old hat has to finance RM$1 trillion debt whereas we have S$0 debt to clear.
