Many see the decision to accept $14 mil compensation to postpone HSR as an idiotic move and not a neighbourliness goodwill gesture. There are more to come and how many more good faith gesture are you going to give?

Anyone remember the good old days where there was a direct train to Tanjong Pagar instead of having to change here, change there, change everywhere?

Tanjung Pagar rail is a bad link for us :-
(1) The CIQ are right at the heart of our city - instead of at the border which is a security risk.

(2) All the lands are at prime area - ineffective used of our land.

(3) Terrorists, smugglers, immigrants can jump out of the train or throw contraband goods such as firearms, drugs etc right into our territory.

It is a security risk, sovereignty infringement and many prime lands cannot be put into good used.

Ricky Lim Did they not moved the CIQ to Woodlands in WTCP in 2011 to deal with these "problems" you are saying.

Also, let me remind you, the land was leased to KTM for 999 years in 1918, which means it will only run out in 2917 if SG had not forcefully took the land back.

Alvin Leong - so are you on malaysia side or on Singapore side.
You sounds more like someone working against the interest of Singapore - on many of the disputed issues.

Alvin Leong - It was not taken back forcefully !!! It was negociated and agreed upon by both sides on a win win end result !!! With regard to the KTM Rail Corridor.... we don't owe them nothing !!!!
