President Donald Trump lashed out again and China called on the European Union to join the battle, sending global stocks into the red

EU should not trust Trump because :-
(1) Trump threaten the whole EU with tariff on steel and aluminium and only put EU on temporary exemption list - and threaten to put EU on tariff by May if EU don't comply with Trump's demand.
France say "Trump is demanding EU to comply to Trump's demand by pointing a gun at EU's head."
So does EU want to sucuumb to Trump's threat and in turn help Trump who has threaten them?
(2) Trump force EU to pay more for their NATO expenses - also by threat and brute force.
Does EU want to support Trump - who has the habit of bullying and threatening EU?
(3) Does EU want to work with a Devil (Trump) - who will turn around and eat up EU after Trump win?
(4) If EU help Trump, it means EU will be supporting Trump's philosophy of protectionism, "America First, but World last, EU last policy".
Trump stand for policies that is against free trade, open trade - and "America First" where others last policy.
So does EU want to support Trump's policy - that harm EU's interest?

If no, EU should not support Trump and should in fact stand on the side of the World, to demand Trump follow WTO's policies of free trade and open trade.
The World is looking at how EU is going to respond to Trump.

Lighthizer has adopted a similarly tough stance in talks to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement, one of the world's biggest trade pacts that spans the United States, Canada and Mexico. He has relentlessly pushed for tough concessions. But in six months of talks, little or no progress has been made.
Mexico and Canada have blamed Lighthizer’s hardline negotiating stance for the lack of progress. They say he has repeatedly told them to swallow tough concessions on autos, investor protection and other issues. Lighthizer has said he is determined to “rebalance” NAFTA trade to restore lost U.S. manufacturing jobs.

EU be warned.
Trump and his economic aides will use the same tactics to force it on EU's trade with US.

EU should not support Trump and in fact should join the World - to punish Trump that his trade policies is not welcome by the World.

China urges EU to 'act together' against US protectionism

BRUSSELS: China on Friday (Apr 6) called on the European Union to take a joint stand against US protectionism as the tit-for-tat trade rift between Washington and Beijing threatened to entangle Europe.
The call to Brussels came as US President Donald Trump warned that he could slap another US$100 billion of extra tariffs on China's imports, fanning fresh fears of a global trade war.
"China and the EU ... should take a clear stance against protectionism, jointly preserve the rules-based multilateral trade order, and keep the global economy on a sound and sustainable track," Zhang Ming, the head of the Chinese mission to the EU, said in a statement sent to AFP.
"This is a joint responsibility of China and the EU. We must act together to make that happen," Zhang said.
In his statement, Zhang firmly defended multilateralism and said "the United States turns its back on these globally recognised rules and its own commitment."
These "protectionist moves under the pretext of national security will undermine the credibility of the WTO-centred multilateral trade system, and the rules-based global trade order," he added.
The Chinese commerce ministry said Friday it is ready to pay "any cost" in the trade spat with Washington after already announcing plans to meet earlier US threats with levies on $50 billion worth of major US exports such as soybeans, cars and small aircraft.
The EU is caught in its own trade drama with the US, under a threat of crippling steel and aluminium tariffs by Washington.
Trump last month authorised the suspension of those fresh tariffs, but only gave the EU until May 1 to come up with a solution to unfair trade practices alleged by the US leader.
The EU has so far reacted cautiously to the US measures against China despite sharing many of the same grievances against Beijing as Washington.
"What is important to stress is that the European Union believes that measures should always be taken within the World Trade Organisation framework, which provides numerous tools to effectively deal with trade differences," European Commission spokesman Daniel Rosario said this week.
