It is difficult to employ drivers to drive in campus and short-distance route - especially in campus, industrial estates etc.
Drivers will also get fatigue in closed-circuit road.

With driverless bus, more regular bus service become possible - as it is not contingent to the availability of bus drivers.

The downside is, it take away jobs from the drivers.

Probably, drivers can take up jobs in bus services that are travelling on the main bus routes.
