Singapore can benefit tremendously from visit to China and also Singapore as ASEAN chair can help to integrate ASEAN Economic Community with China - to boost more trade, business cooperation and investment.
This can help to cushion the trade blow launch by Trump.
While Trump is playing a destructive role on trade, everyone must attempt to boost trade, business and investment more to cushion Trump's destructive actions.
One day it Trump protectionism will be defeated and he will suffer from it as the whole World is moving away from Trump's protectionism stance.

I think it is also a good opportunity for Asia Pacific to ramp up business cooperation, trade and investment with EU.
Asia Pac and EU are the 2 largest trade blocs in the World.
Asia Pac are still trying to finalise the RCEP - and if done will be the largest Economic Bloc in the World.
But Asia Pac should start to have 2 trade blocs - economic integration with EU --- and this will form the most powerful and biggest trade bloc in the World.
Trump can sit in his White House and cry --- the World can isolate Trump and let him brag about his America First.
