This is what NTUC, MOM, WSG - can help by putting all unemployed into a "repository" unemployed -- so that they can be properly tracked, job match, train and placed, ensure not under-employed etc ----- and this can be done using AI, machine learning, deep learning, big data, metadata.
This is the way to tackle "social inequality". Ensure less unhappy Singaporeans and PRs. Ensure people with jobs that match their qualification and experience - not under-employed, unemployed.
Why Trump can has his field day in US and his supporters can do all sort of protectionism, flip-flop, America first but World last etc --- is because their workers are also similarly unemployed and under-employed -- and these workers did not get help.
Thus Singapore must not fall into the same "Trump trap".
