    It's a self-defeating politically motivated decision, by the trade crazies, headed by Peter Navarro. This is not the time and place for such bomb throwers. Hopefully, Kudlow can prevail, before the damage to U.S. companies becomes irreversible.

    ZTE broke the rules again! The Chinese cannot be trusted, If you don't want to be sanctioned and condemned stop breaking the law at every turn. Its very simple. The rest of the world is able to follow the International Rule of law why not China? Why do they think they are so special!

    @ricky l China have had Tariffs on all US products for over a decade, Breaking WTO rules and yet the WTO did nothing about it! CHINA set the precedent by breaking the rules from the very beginning!

    Trump keep flip-flopping.
    One day say quit TPP.
    Another say want to rejoin TPP.
    Then Trump say if he get better offer from TPP - Trump will rejoin.
    Then Trump say TPP is raping US.
    Next Trump say Trump will join TPP if members offer Trump a deal to rejoin TPP.

    (1) Trump say TPP rape US, cheat US - and rescind TPP - mess up the whole TPP and the remaining 11 members have to rework out the CPTPP.
    Now after CPTPP is signed, Trump want to come in again after China punish Trump's America with retaliatory tariff on its agriculture.
    Trump even have the cheek to want a better deal in CPTPP.
    TPP-11 prefer Trump's America to be out of CTPP - knowing that Trump will come in to re-mess up the CPTPP.
    
    Trump is nothing but untrustworthy, unreliable troublemaker to the World.
    
    (2) Trump revoke the Paris Climate Deal - when the whole World sign the deal - claiming the deal is US cheater.
    
    (3) Trump wanted to revoke the Iran nuclear deal where the rest of the World sign and Iran did not break the deal - whereas Trump break the deal - another trouble maker.
    
    So is Trump's America reliable, trustworthy?
    
    As long as Trump helm America, the World will not deal with Trump America.

  China can only buy crops from Trump America, how much crop cost compare to tech products ---- and how can crop reduce trade deficit.
  
  China is importing more than US$220 billion tech products - and only US$21 billion is imported from US because Trump America refuse to export tech products to China ---- so how does China reduce trade deficit with US refuse to sell?

  @ricky I: you may not like it but Trump is trying to save American supremacy. It may not seem friendly but it is what it is, the Chinese are not a friendly folk and they been trying to surpass U.S. for a long time and make no effort to hide it. Under such premise any U.S. move aimed at giving Chinese troubles is a good move.
