In my own experience, many times cars/taxis won't stop at zebra crossings for pedestrians. 

So far, SBS bus drivers have never failed to stop for pedestrians.

Many times cars/taxis won't stop at zebra crossings for pedestrians - is the right observations.

Should install a red light instead of zebra crossing.

Or if too expensive to install red light for slip road --- at least install humps before the zebra crossing to slow the vehicles down.

Many vehicles don't stop or slow down when approaching zebra crossings.
