The M113 is effective against small arm fire against the insurgency and can transport troop deep into the terrorist territory and can protect against ambush.Reply
Without the M113 with thick armour, troop have to be transported in unprotected truck that can be easily ambush with small arm fire and inflict high casualties by the insurgents.

Moreover, the heavy and medium machine guns mounted on the M113 - will be a good firepower support base to provide suppress fire while the troop assault the insurgents.
In think this donation will make the fight against terrorist group more effective.

Even if the terrorist group use armour piercing machine gun round - the M113 armour can provide protection - thus the battle against the terrorist groups should have higher success rate.

Even if terrorist group use grenade launcher against the M113 armour, I think it can protect the troop - as the terrorist group may not have HEAT round (High Explosive Armour piercing round) to penetrate the armour.
So virtually, the troop should be more well protected and can chase the terrorist group with higher speed and more effective in breaking the ambush and defense of the terrorist group.
M113 can also operate in the forest and hilly terrain with respected gradient - I think the terrorist group will drop their pants when they see M113 chasing after their backside.

M113 can also mounted with mortar - and provide very good artillery base and concentrated bombardment with good mobility for the assaulting troops to neutralise and soften the terrorists camp and troop concentration.
By the time, the troop assault the terrorist camp - the terrorist troop strength will have been depleted.

M113 is also an amphibious vehicle.
If the insurgents use vehicle to escape, M113 can chase them and even ram through the vehicle until it become a sardine.
If the terrorists decide to take swim or escape by boat, the M113 can chase after them in the river or lake - as the M113 is amphibious and fire on their boats while "swimming" in the river or lake.
I think M113 should be a jewel combating this terrorists group - they should be shivering and wet their pants now.

And the best part is that, M113 is light enough to be airlifted.
If terrorist groups decide to hide in an island or a high mountain - thinking they are safe, chinook or C130 can airlift a few M113 with troops into the island or mountain right into the terrorist camps and start assaulting them.
The terrorist groups will shit and wet their pants - and no where to run - when they see M113 appear right before their eyes thinking everything is safe.

So now, the Filipine army troops - will be more effective to wipe out and force surrender from these ISIS alliance terrorists and free the land from these terrorists group - with this donated M113.

In thick terrain with heavy undergrowth, M113 can ram through and flatten the undergrowth - and the terrorist groups cannot hide.
Infantry troops can just run behind the flatten undergrowth and assault on the terrorist camp as though new road is build all the way into the terrorist camp.

If terrorist group hide in an island, a dozen M113 supported by armour infantry - will easily wipe out the terrorist group very quickly.
