The sectoral manpower plan approach - is the right approach - as it is a surgical and targeted approach to match job to candidate and candidate to job.
But when it is going to focus on mature PMETs?
And when it is going to start matching mature PMETs in IT sector to jobs?
Is there a tracking mechanism and meta database of those mature PMETs who are trying to look for jobs with the respective skillsets - to match vis-à-vis the job requirements out there in the job market? R
Wonder when will MOM come up with manpower plan to tackle unemployment for mature PMETs - to job match them?Reply
The economy is complaining there are not enough manpower to do the jobs.
But there are many mature PMETs who try to apply for jobs - but no response from the Enterprises.
Wonder how will MOM step in to tackle this problem - with a more structure and systematic way.

Job growth is not meant for Singaporean but more for foreigners.Reply
Singaporean are now mostly employed as contract workers while foreigners are given full time job. This is gettting more ridiculous but than do the government really care.
