Compassion, Peace are the main core values of mainstream religions.

Any religions that deviate from Compassion, Peace - but advocate violence, killings, murdering - are cults.

The purpose of religions is to uplift Humanity spiritually and not downgrade Humanity into unwholesome realms through unwholesome speeches, thoughts and actions.

Because Humans, albeit all 6 realms sentinent beings - have inherent 3 evil roots specifically Ignorance of Universal Law, Hatred/Anger, Greed/Attachment - that if manifest - will lead to untold miseries and sufferings - such as this incident. 

Ignoranace of Univeral Law - lead to advocate of violence.

Attachment to wrong belief - lead to advocacy of violence.

Hatred/Anger - lead to the killings when other don' follow their thinkings.

Thus mainstream religions that advocate - Compassion, Peace - no killings - will uplift Human Spiritually - and such cult manifestation of Human 3 evil roots specifically Ignorance of Universal Law, Hatred/Anger, Greed/Attachment will not arise.

Thinking aloud, wonder if we foster the 3 wholesome roots of No-Self, Compassion and Panna Wisdom - wonder we can prevent the manifestation of inherent 3 evil roots specifically Ignorance of Universal Law, Hatred/Anger, Greed/Attachment - and this will help all disputant parties of maritime territorial dispute resolve the dispute wholesomely - rather than constant blickering that 伤感情？
