There are some positive developments that have ease the tension eg. ;-
(1) Russian withdrawal of 40,000 troops away from the border
(2) allowing Ukraine Presidental election to conclude
(3) Russian willing to work with the newly-elected Ukraine President
(4) Both sides calling for end of bloodshed

All these have positive effects of easing and defusing tension - that if run out of control can result in 2 Blocs heading for Cold War - that both sides do not want.

The focus should be more on Economic, business, investment, travel etc - which will have more positive outcome, less hostility and attempt to rebuild new relationship to end the Ukraine crisis and in a larger context, the East Europe crisis.

Confrontation and hostility are never good.

Cooperation, mutual benefits are always good.

Most important, the World War 2 memorial is a timely reminder that both Allied troops have fought alongside to end the World War - where so many troops and civilians die and injured, infrastructure destroyed and damaged, economy devastated and mammoth Human mankind tragedies and sufferings by the whole World.

This historical reminder is a timely reminder for both Blocs not to tread along the route of confrontation and conflict.

Nothing will beat cooperation, mutual benefits, business, economic cooperation, investment, travel, diplomatic exchanges - that will bring about progress, prosperity to Human Mankind.

Confrontation, conflict, war - will only lead to regress, destruction, miseries, sufferings, povery and devastation.

No one will win in war.

Everyone will gain in cooperation and mutual benefits.
