Indeed most mainstream religions advocate "Moderation" or more specifically, the "Middle Path" - where Islam also say the same :- Islamic principle of “wasatiyyah”, or moderation,

Moderation or Middle Path - is the Equilibrium of Universal Dualistic Law of Nama/Rupa, Form/Formless, 色/空 or Law of Relativity - that will bring Peace and Harmony to Human Mankind.

Only through "Middle Path" or "Moderation" - people will reap the best outcome or benefit from both the mundane world and the supramundane world.

Otherwise, too much indulgence in the sensual desire world - one will be bounded by the mundane world.
Too much indulgence in the supramundane world - one will get detracted from the mundane world.

Thus "Middle Path" or "Moderation" - is the best balance to operate optimally in both the mundane and supramundane world.
