Agreed that there should be power sharing between the different sects. If one sect is cut out from the power sharing which once they are a dominant party, they are likely to cause problem which in this case result in armed struggle - that make it extremely difficult to restore peace within the Country. To ensure stability, should include the Sunni as part of the Government and should not keep them out.

Also notice that the purpose, the will and the gut for security force to fight the militants are not there.

There are 2 parts of the rebels - one that wish to have a stake in the Government, the other. the extremist that will play a part in exporting terrorism.

It is the extremist that need to keep in check.

    Syria civil war is also the same scenario - Government forces vs Moderate Rebels vs Extremists.
    This has complicate the peace process.

    In fact the window opportunity to negotiate peace in Syria has been missed because of the extremist participation - that complicate the entire peace process and prolonging the sufferings of the Syrians.
