Wonder how did he get these injuries?
(1) Was he asked to climb down on the well on his own?
(2) Was he thrown into the well and asked him to come out on his own?
(3) Was he asked to jump into the well and to climb back up?
Cannot imagine how this can be a tradition ragging ritual --- as it look dangerous and it is definitely a sadistic ritual meant to torture the trainee NSFs - as it carry a high risk of injuries if not death.

NSFs are trained to save life and protect the people - not to get themselves hurt or worst get themselves killed by such mindless ragging or unsafe "training".

Ground commanders should treat their men like their own sons or daughters - to train them realistically and professionally but safely - and not put them in mindless training or silly sadistic ritual that endanger their lives.
Ground commanders are taught to take care of their safety and welfare of their men - so that they can carried out their tasks and duties without fear for their safety.
