Schools are the only "workplace" that have free car park for many years.
Even those who park their car in hdb flats got to pay car park fees.

For many workers who drive to their "workplace" - whether in industrial estate, city, etc --- all have to pay their car park fees.

This is an attempt to "plug this loopholes". 羊毛出在羊身上。

Those who can afford to drive to work - will have to pay parking fees like any other workplace in Singapore.

Else to fill up the revenue shortfall --- other Singaporeans who are not enjoying this service - will have help to subsidies this "privilege" that are enjoy by this small group of car owners such as pay higher GST, higher income tax or other taxes etc.

可以从鸡身拔羊毛吗?

For those who objected so violently to this car park charges in school but are not car park users in school --- they must be very willing to subsidise this car owners in school.

So this implies they are willing to pay more GST, more personal taxes or more other taxes - to subsidies school car owners.

Simple for such a outrageous situation.

Just increase the tax bracket by 1% for top earners and it will pay for the teachers' parking fees in school ten times over.

Did the top income earners park in school car park?
If not why should they pay?

If you don't drive, you want to pay for others' who drive and park in another car park?

(That means 你爽,你要别人付钱给你爽?) - Then 你不是爽死那个?- 别人付钱你来爽。那有天理?那有因果?

If Singaporeans don't want to pay more GST and more taxes to subsidies some privilege few ---- those who enjoy "free privileges" in premium land should start to pay up.
这才符合天理,这才符合因果。
There are few hunderd schools in Singapore - many are in premium land. And the car park spaces are so huge.

Why this privilege few can park "free of charge" --- where others need to pay car park charges outside of the school premises --- to subsidies these privilege few?
And worst the overall population need to pay more taxes to subsidies these privilege few?

Ignorant people only know how to make noise (mega complainers) - but don't know the underlying implication.

Estimated and assume if all car park lots are taken, about $100million can be collected as car park fees per year. This mean less GST by $100 million need to be collected.
All the noise makers so generous, want to subsidies this privilege car owners using school car park lots.

Free car park lots are "privilege" not an "entitlement".

Those car owners will not feel it burn a hole in their pockets if they don't drive to park their car in school but take public transport - in fact they will have alot of saving in their pocket.
