To determine where is the best place to host the US-N Korea summit talk, what is important is the outcome.
(1) To hold it in Singapore
(2) To hold it in other 3rd Countries
(3) To hold it in DMZ Peace House
If Singapore is the best place - as determined by US, N Korea, S Korea - that will bring the best outcome to be successful, then I think Singapore will not hesitate to held it here.
But to our assessment, the chances of success will be much higher if it is held in DMZ Peace House for such a high stake talk for the following reasons :-
(1) S Korea and N Korea Leaders had held a very successful talk in the DMZ Peace House.
(2) DMZ Peace House - is just at the doorstep of both Koreas where both Leaders can bring their aides or logistics across borders to make the talk successful.
(3) US has large personnel presence there and are familiar with the places and people there.
(4) All historical events happen there - and thus all parties are familiar with all the intricacies, historical events, languages, culture, surface meanings, underlying meanings, hidden meanings of those complex, intricate, difficult issues that will be discussed - without misreadings.
(5) S Korea Leader is the best person at the right place to chair, mediate, faciliate, counsel, arbitrate, etc in the US-N Korea Leader talk - as the S Korea Leader is coordinating, and working out the roadmap for the US-N Korea Leader summit.
(6) The stake to make it succeed is so high for S Korea, N Korea, US, and other stakeholders, albeit the region and the World ----- that everything must be planned meticulously, down to the right very small detail - to ensure it will be successful. And since S Korea has already done so for the S Korea and N Korea Leaders talk --- everything - including logistics, agenda, issues are all in place and intricately prepared down to the last detail --- thus holding it in the DMZ Peace House --- will definitely have a higher chance of success compare to other places.
Surely, if S Korea, N Korea and US think Singapore is the right place - Singapore will not hesitate to host it.
But putting everything rationally, assess it logically ---- DMZ Peace House seems to be a better place of success ---- and it is better not to risk it by taking chance - for such a high stake talk of Holocaust consequences.

It is thus my main reason - why the US-NK talk to be held in DMZ Peace House and not in Singapore.
The reason being, S Korea Leader has a good chemistry between Trump and Kim ---- and the stake is very high for S Korea Leader not to let this talk fail.
If held in Singapore without S Korea Leader ---- who will handle the flip-flop when things go sour?

@Ricky, there is a very real and high possibility that KJU would be eaten raw in a one-to-one meeting by an American-First no-holds-barred unscrupulous president who he would scuttle the deal and walk out immediately if it is not to his liking, either way of which would make Kim look like an idiot. To me, the risk of that happening is highly possible and the stakes too high. It is foolish.

Also Trump will need this win desperately because his mid-term Nov Congressional election is coming. Time is not on the side of Trump, whereas Kim has a longer runway.
But the moment you go to UNSC - all stakeholders will put their interests forefront and nothing will get resolved.

It cannot jump from step 2 to step 10 straight away - it will fail.
This Korean Peninsula is highly complex and involve many stakeholders.
US and N Korea is the most pivotal link - and need to breakthrough first.
In UN Security Council --- it will involve another "Big Monster" - the 2 Political Bloc divide.
