Wow, just a short period after taking over from Mr Lim HK, our friend already starts giving expert and re-assuring comments about “limited” impact from US-China tariffs! Macham like telling folks “with me in charge, you don’t have to worry, all can sleep like babies”!

Are you expecting a new Minister that step into his new office and start crunching this "operational data" to determine the impact of the trade tariff?

The civil service will already have all these operational data and analysing them very much early - when the notion of trade tariff is floated.

Minister's job is to make strategic political decision.

These operational data - the flowchart of the global supply chain are at the civil service level.
