Suggest this to prevent more diabetes problem in Singapore :-
(1) Outright ban for any high sugar products of 5.5 teaspoons or higher.
(2) Price higher for medium sugar products of 4 teaspoons.
(3) Use the tariff levy on medium sugar products to subsidise as discounts for low sugar products.

It is difficult to let consumers to decide on their own - even with clear label - as depending on consumer self-discipline to choose healthy drink will not work.

By banning high sugar drink - consumers will have no access to the products that harm their health badly.

Also with higher prices for medium sugar product - it will deter consumers from picking up the less healthy drink - and instead will buy the cheaper low sugar drinks.

The ulitmate outcome --- Singaporeans will be healthier with less diabetes problem --- resulting in lower medical costs, less amputation of limbs due to diabetes etc.

With more sugar consumption, the insulin, which is an enzyme in the body cannot be produced by the body to cope to break down the sugar into energy.
