(1) Other than fresh food, Singaporeans must also look at frozen foods imported from other Countries that can last for 1 year such as :-
(a) Frozen fishes, frozen shrimps, frozen chicken, frozen pork, frozen beef etc - imported from Norway, US, Japan, Brazil, Australia etc. --- The prices are cheaper than fresh ones and they are as fresh as the fresh ones.

(2) Allocate more lands for vertical farming in Singapore - eg. for vegetables, eggs.
May even want to consider using our offshore islands for farming.

(3) Work with suppliers from other Countries such as Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, China etc to ramp up supplies for vegetables, poultry, eggs, fish, shrimps etc.

Is this article trying to convince people of yet another increase in the price of food? Curb the rental and utility increasing charges.

Evil people normally don't go to heaven.
Evil people will normally descend to hell.

Evil people who think of cutting water and food - to cause harms to others - usually are hell-bound.

There should be space available for some intense agriculture to increase our own self-sufficiency. Really hoped that the business and political wills can be strengthened. Most of our dollars are spent on housing and buying imported commodities including food. All our green spaces should be allowed to culitvate some crops as a trial so as to teach ourshelves how to farm- in case of emergency.

Not possible to grow unless you have super crop or super pigs that can grow up in 3 days or a week. Food imports are frighteningly enormous.

Kid, this has been going on historically! Don't make moronic news when you lack the juice. Do we have to endure this down through our descendents? Moreover, price increase is also historical practice during CNY. Probably our rulers need to use a little brain to ultilize Taiwanese skills and islands around us....each percentage increase in supply is an acheivement.

Another way is directly invest in overseas farming like offshore salmon farm, pig farm, and milk factory. Then there is no limited of land issues.
