If SG stop 500,000 malaysians from working. SG have to find workers from bangladesh. If not, SG will become bankrupt. haha

Leslie Kee: SG will never be bankrupt. First stop issuing and renewing all work passes for Malaysians in SG. Next, start revoking PR status of Malaysians. Dr M and his Govt is bound to wake up when these Malaysians go back home and cause him trouble for losing their jobs. The upside is more SG citizens will have jobs!

Ivy Goh, SG citizens will have jobs, are you sure? They can't afford to pay huge salaries to SG for sure. Dont forget about Thai Canal Project! The Thai Canal project destroy Singapore in future. Are you still say Singapore will never be bankrupt?

Leslie Kee : Yes, SG citizens will certainly have jobs if SG Govt stops Malaysians from taking their jobs. According to you ‘500,000 Malaysians’ are dependent on SG for jobs to feed their families in MY. It will be tragic if ‘500,000 Malaysians’ lost their jobs in SG because of Dr M. There are also many other nationalities happy to work in SG, so don't worry as there is never a shortage of workers!

Leslie Kee - You say "The Thai Canal project destroy Singapore in future."

Let me tell you something :-
Thailand Government will not agree to build the canal because :-
(1) By breaking the Country into 2 - where the Southern part are facing Muslim rebellion - the Government will lose the southern part of the Country to Malaysia - and lose its Sovereignty. The Thai Government are not stupid.

(2) The cost of canal is estimated to be S$37 billion - and could be more - the cost is too high to embark - and almost not possible to recoup the cost.

(3) Millions of Thais need to be relocated - which will turn out to be a political minefield to the Thai Government - not including relocation cost. The cost will become too much for Thai Government to fund.

(4) The saving to shipping companies are only 72 hours --- and ports need many facilities that are provided by Singapore ports ---- which is not a great incentive for shipping companies to switch.

(5) The environmental impact of digging out the soil and granite - will damaged the fisheries eco-system in Thailand - and many Thai fisherman will go out of business - and this will be another political landmine to the Thai Government.

So don't try to be a fear monger - it won't work.
