(1) The case supporting China crackdown on the HK protest will be increasingly likely :-
a. The wider calls for democracy pose a direct challenge for Communist Party leaders in Beijing, who are eager to quell the protests ahead of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Oct 1.
b. China is doing an all out trade war with US - and there is no more incentive for China to pull back on quelling HK protest - as there is no need to appease US to secure the trade deal.

(1) Now what this HK protestors do are sabotaging HK economy, damaging and destroying public properties and infrastructure, causing massive inconvenience to the public, overseas travellers, causing problems to HK businesses, tourism and travel.
(2) It will come a time when China feel that there is a need to restore law and order to HK and put the foot down on these HK protestors.

Let's not take for granted our affordable housing and jobs.... Happy times don't last and always invite complacency mad envy.
We need to vigilant and appreciate what we have. We need to be discipline and move out of our comfort zone to maintain peace, harmony and business in Singapore.

One must learn to understand why the Hkers are carrying on with the protests. It could be stamped from a long period of frustration over the govt's failure to meet the housing needs of the public in general and other social issues. Young people are unable to set up a family on this score.
